Bereavement Leave

bereavment leave

All employees are allowed paid bereavement leave on the occasion of the death of a close family member. The entitlement may vary depending on the Wage Regulation Order. Employees  in  activities of work which are not regulated by any W.R.O., are allowed to  one working day of bereavement leave as stipulated in L.N. 432 of 2007 - Minimum Special Leave Entitlement Regulations. Bereavement Leave entitlement  is only allowed in respect of the following relatives: Wife, husband, mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister of the employee.
